Thursdays@3: AI Jam

July 17, 2025, 3:00 pm - 3:50 pm
Thursdays@3: AI Jam

Got an AI experiment brewing in your department? Tried a clever way to automate tasks with ChatGPT or build something with Microsoft Copilot? Curious about what your colleagues are doing with AI across campus?

Join us for a summer Thursday@3: AI Jam – an open mic-style event where IT staff and technologists across U of T will take the virtual stage to share our AI use cases, experiments and lessons learned.

Agenda:

This is your chance to:
🎤 Hear what others are trying
💡 Spark ideas for your own work
📢 Share your own project – big or small!

Presenters:

🎙 Want to present? Whether you’ve built a full-fledged AI tool or just automated a small part of your day with a smart prompt, we want to hear from you. Let’s learn, jam and get inspired together. Sign up here!

  1. We will be using a 5 x 5 format to keep us all engaged.
  2. Presenters will create five slides, each with five lines of text, composed of five words each.
  3. Each presentation will be five minutes long.
  4. Each slide should have visuals to help us follow along (think screenshots, diagrams, etc.)
  5. Less familiar with PowerPoint? Use the handy U of T PowerPoint template, or just use a word doc with five pages, and we can transform it into a PowerPoint for you!
  6. Slides will be due July 11.
  7. An optional group edit / practice run will take place on Tuesday July 15 from 2-4 p.m.

Presenters will be announced after the submission date of July 11, 2025.
