This year’s theme—”Together, Innovation Takes Flight”—invites you to be part of something extraordinary. Attend on June 1-4, 2026, in Waterloo, Ontario, co-hosted by Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo, where collaboration and creativity will SOAR.
Session formats
Traditional
These 45-minute traditional style presentation sessions take place in a room typically with a projector and presentation deck. Traditional programs can have up to three presenters.
Panel
These 45-minute sessions bring four to six experts together on stage, sharing insights, answering audience questions, and offering diverse perspectives in a structured conversation on a particular topic. Audience members have the chance to ask questions at the end of the conversation.
Lightning round
These quick 10 minute sessions are a great way to share thoughts, experiences, and insights or to gather feedback, do a quick survey or brainstorm solutions to a problem. Get in quick and start a conversation with your community.
Workshops
These are two-hour interactive sessions offering expert insights, hands-on activities, and practical strategies to enhance skills and drive professional growth.

CANHEIT offers six comprehensive program tracks designed to empower Higher Education IT professionals. Each pathway delivers focused content that addresses current challenges while preparing institutions for tomorrow’s technological landscape.
